A. The BB-PM900 is suitable for buffing and polishing rings, bracelets, pendants, earrings, necklaces, medals, and various small jewelry components.
It can be used for a wide range of jewelry-finishing processes, including removing fine scratches and machining marks after casting, filing, or sanding, as well as intermediate polishing, final high-gloss finishing, and surface restoration after repair or welding.
A. The PM900 can polish various metals, including gold, silver, brass, copper, aluminum, and stainless steel.
The appropriate buffing wheel, polishing compound, and rotation speed may vary depending on the material and plating condition. We recommend testing on a separate sample or an inconspicuous area before starting the actual work.
A. Two buffing wheels can normally be installed, with one wheel on each spindle.
When tapered spindles are used, up to four buffing wheels can be installed, with two wheels on each side. This allows the operator to prepare separate wheels for cutting, intermediate polishing, pre-polishing, and final finishing, reducing wheel-change and process-transition time.
A. A 6-inch buffing wheel is generally recommended. Buffing wheels up to 7 inches can be installed.
The actual installation range may vary depending on the type and thickness of the wheel. After installation, make sure the wheel does not contact the machine body or any protective parts.
A. The BB-PM900 is equipped with a 1/2 HP high-torque motor designed for stable and continuous polishing. The speed can be adjusted up to 3,450RPM.
Inverter control and the Torque Boost function help maintain stable torque even at low speeds, allowing the machine to handle different materials and polishing processes.
A. The appropriate speed depends on the material, size and shape of the workpiece, buffing-wheel type, and polishing compound.
Start at a low speed and gradually increase it while checking the polishing condition. Excessive speed or pressure may cause heat buildup, deformation, surface damage, or premature wear of the buffing wheel.
A. The foot pedal allows the operator to turn the buffing motor ON and OFF.
Depending on the work, the operator can select either Continuous ON mode or Foot Pedal ON/OFF mode. This allows convenient motor control while keeping both hands free to hold the workpiece.
A. Yes. The machine includes a dual-lens magnifier with 5× and 10× magnification.
Bright interior LED lighting and dedicated magnifier lighting help the operator inspect fine scratches and surface finish. The lighting supports white and warm color settings with brightness adjustment.
The flexible arm also allows the magnifier to be positioned at the most suitable angle.
A. The BB-PM900 has an enclosed chamber that places the buffing wheels and working area inside the machine body.
The front protective viewing window provides a clear view of the workpiece and buffing wheels while creating a protective space between the operator and the rotating wheels.
The enclosed structure also helps reduce the spread of polishing dust and residue outside the machine. This provides the operator with a safer, cleaner, and more comfortable working environment.
A. The PM900 has floor-level suction intakes and a connection port for an external dust collector. However, a separate dust collector is required to generate the actual suction power.
The adjustable left and right suction shutters allow the operator to concentrate the extraction power on the side currently being used. Combining the enclosed chamber with the floor-level suction system helps reduce airborne dust and collect residue remaining inside the machine.
For optimal dust-collection performance, we recommend using the dedicated BB-DC500 external dust collector.
A. The BB-DC500 is a high-performance external dust collector designed for use with the PM900. It has a powerful 500W motor and provides airflow of up to 184CFM. The suction power can be adjusted according to the working conditions and the amount of dust generated.
The DC500 uses a two-stage filtration system:
The bag filter has a particle rating of 25μm. The HEPA filter is designed to capture at least 99.97% of particles measuring 0.3μm.
The large-capacity bag filter can be removed and replaced easily. This makes it more convenient to inspect and recover collected precious-metal dust and polishing residue while keeping the workspace clean.
The filters should be inspected regularly and replaced according to operating time and the amount of accumulated dust.
A. The PM900 has a spacious internal working area designed for convenient use of its dual spindles and multiple buffing wheels.
The “900” in the model name and the 900mm product width refer to the overall width of the machine, not the width of the internal working area.
A. The BB-PM900 includes the following features:
A. The dimensions of the BB-PM900 are:
900mm(W) × 420mm(D) × 415mm(H)
It is a wide tabletop buffing and polishing machine designed for jewelry workshops and professional production environments.
Before installation, make sure there is sufficient space for the machine, external dust collector, suction hose, and operator movement.
A. Before starting work, make sure that the buffing wheel is securely fastened to the spindle. Do not use any buffing wheel that has cracks, deformation, or excessive wear.
Before starting work, clean the protective window thoroughly and make sure that the work area and buffing wheel are clearly visible. During operation, always use the external dust collector to effectively collect dust and polishing residue.
Before replacing the buffing wheel, cleaning the inside of the machine, or inspecting the product, always turn off the power and unplug the power cord.
A. Buffing wheels and polishing compounds should be selected according to the material of the workpiece and the desired level of finish.
In general, different buffing wheels and polishing compounds are used for rough polishing, intermediate polishing, and final polishing. Mixing different polishing compounds may reduce the surface quality, so it is recommended to dedicate each buffing wheel to its designated polishing compound.
If you are unsure which buffing wheel or polishing compound to use, please contact your place of purchase or the official BB Technical Support Team for assistance.
